St Eval Candle Company's Top 5 Day's Out in Cornwall
May 1, 2015
It's no secret that we love Cornwall as our beautiful handmade candles are quintessentially Cornish and with the Bank Holiday weekend almost here we are thinking of our favourite days out in this beautiful county.
Here are our top 5 picks for you and the family to enjoy this weekend:
1) Eden Project
Come rain or shine the Eden Project is a fantastic day out. Explore the spectacular Biodome's and even climb up to their Rainforest Canopy Walkway. If you have an adrenaline rush from the canopy then why not take a ride of England's largest Zip Wire? A big day out requires a delicious lunch and we recommend the Eden Kitchen. Freshly made bread daily and mouthwatering recipes that suit the whole family. (Don't forget- we are teaming up with the wonderful people at People and Gardens CIC who supply fresh produce to the Eden Project.)
2) The Hidden Hut
A break away needs something a little special to it and we highly recommend The Hidden Hut. Beautiful food served family style not far outside Portscatho on the Roseland Peninsula. During the Summer season they hold Feast's of truly wonderful food. Perfect way to meet people and even walk the dog along the beach after a filling meal. If you don't believe us then check out their website! Here is what they are putting together on the Saturday 2nd May 2015 @ 7pm.
Sticky Ribs £15
Smokey, sticky BBQ’d ribs served with Texan beans and freshly baked corn bread. A hut favourite!
If you can't make the feat still pop by for some delicious take away and famous cakes!
3) Lands End
Take a walk where our beautiful Cornish lands end and 3147 miles away New York begins. There is so much to do and is perfect for the whole family, yes- even the kids will love it! Walk along the stunning footpaths to discover historical land marks, the Longships Lighthouse and, on a clear day, even see the Isles Of Scilly. After your walk check out their shops and restaurants, there are always activities for the kids too.
4) Rose's Ice Cream @ Treyarnon Bay
You can't come to Cornwall without having Cornish ice cream. Rose's vintage ice cream van is located on one of the famous 7 bays, Treyarnon Bay (just around the corner from us). Stunning views and soft sand are idyllic while you delight in the delicious ice cream's they have. Fantastic customer service and the bays most popular resident Blue the dog.
